Atlanta, GA. April 1, 2011… Buckhead Investment Partners (BIP) announced today that J. Randall “Randy” Carroll has joined the firm as Executive Chairman of the Board and Director of Business Development.
Prior to joining BIP, Carroll had an impressive 43-year banking career. Most recently retiring as Vice Chairman of Bank of North Georgia, Carroll also served as President and Chief Operating Officer of BNG from 2004 until 2006. His prior experience includes the organization and formation of Mountain National Bank in 1987 where he served as Chairman, President and CEO. In 1996 he became Chairman and CEO of Merit Holding Corporation which owned both Mountain National Bank and Charter Bank & Trust Company. Merit was sold to Synovus Financial Corporation in 1999, but Carroll continued as President & CEO of Mountain National Bank until the merger in 2004 with Bank of North Georgia.
Randy is active in both community and charitable organizations. He currently serves as the Treasurer and Director of The Emile T. Fisher Foundation for Dental Education in Georgia, Inc., is a member of the Board of Directors & Secretary of HealthMPowers, a Board of Trustees member of the Georgia Tech Foundation, Inc., and a member of the Atlanta Athletic Club. He is also an Advisory Board member of Allied Financial Corporation and Buckhead Investment Partners, LLC. In the past, Carroll served for nine years as a Trustee of the Georgia Tech Athletic Association, and was the former Chairman of the DeKalb Medical Foundation, Inc. and The Ashford Club.
A graduate of Georgia Tech in 1967, Carroll has been heavily involved in the Georgia Tech baseball program and has enjoyed serving as a broadcaster for their games on radio and television for the past 25 years.

Randy resides in Johns Creek with his wife, Vickie. They have two grown children, Kevin and Kim, and two grandchildren, Luke and Grace.
